"David" Wayne Mitchell, 54, Brooks, died Jan. 27, 2009. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #728. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Durrell Tharpe and the Rev. Raymond Parker officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Mitchell, Brooks; a son, David Mitchell Jr., Brooks; daughters, Lindsay Mitchell and Doug Martin, Scottsdale, Ga., Leslie Mitchell, Brooks, and Lisa and Allen Graham, Williamson; a grandson, Jaylen Mitchell, Brooks; mother, Patsy Mitchell, Franklin; mother-in-law, Ruby Giles, Brooks; and sisters, Cindy Stevens, and Sheila and Kenny Roquemore, all of Franklin, and Tracey and Steve Braswell, Griffin. Memorial donations may be made to The Shriner's Burn Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229, or the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, 1687 Tullie Circle, Atlanta, GA 30329. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
