The team has been undefeated in the past two seasons.  The McIntosh Academic Team competed in five Regional Academic Bowl events to finish first in the 8 county Griffin RESA area. The top 5 Varsity and Jr. Varsity teams from each participating RESA Region advanced to the State Competition held January 24th at South Forsyth High School, in Cumming Georgia. Fayette County was represented by a total of 9 teams. The Academic teams compete in the subject areas of math, science, language arts, social studies and current events. The state competition starts with three preliminary rounds, to determine the top 16 teams. McIntosh's Varsity team finished as the top seed and competed in four additional single elimination rounds. McIntosh remained undefeated in each round to earn the State Championship.
