Fayette’s middle schools had the most placements at the Griffin RESA Regional Academic Bowl, resulting in the teams securing three of the top five.

Bennett’s Mill placed first in total points with 13 wins, followed by Rising Starr in third with 10 wins and Whitewater in fourth with 10 wins.

The bowl season runs from September through January with almost all middle schools in the region participating. The Griffin RESA region consists of school systems in Butts, Fayette, Henry, Lamar, Newton, Pike, Spalding and Upson counties.
