Mary Ann Bush Cassano

Mary Ann Bush Cassano, 74, Peachtree City, died Jan. 17. 2009. She was the eldest of three siblings. She was born in Wylam, Ala., but grew up in Atlanta. She attended St. Anthony's Catholic School, graduating from Atlanta's Brown High in 1952. She spent time in Indianapolis, and in Miami, where she furthered her career with the Federal Aviation Agency. She also worked in Germany and in Europe for nine years. Back in Atlanta in the 1990's she continued with the FAA and retired in 2004 with 42 years of service. She had a soprano voice and sang with various choral groups, most recently with the Southern Crescent Chorale. She loved animals.

A Memorial Mass was at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Survivors include a brother, John Robert Bush, Atlanta; a sister, Gloria Jean Bush, Peachtree City; three nephews; two nieces; and eight grand-nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the Noah's Ark Animal Shelter. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
