Marilyn Poople Alley, Riverdale, died Jan. 19, 2009. She was born July 12, 1934 in Fulton County. She was raised around Adair Park in Atlanta, and attended school with her future husband. Memorial services were at Southwest Christian Church with the Rev. Thom Miller and the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Donovan officiating.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Alley Sr., Riverdale; a son, Rusty and Alisa Alley Jr., Fayetteville; a daughter, Lea and Josh Mazzucco, Fayetteville; brothers, Marion and Charlotte Alley, Peachtree City, and Ronnie and Vicki Alley, Williamson; grandchildren, Russell and Crystal Alley, Ben Mazzucco, Kati Alley, and Matt Mazzucco; an uncle, John S., and Elizabeth Marks, Peachtree City; and an aunt, Jiminita Garcia, East Point. Memorial donations may be made to Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
