Manson Jones, 86, Riverdale, died Jan. 9, 2009. Services were at Heatherwood Baptist Church, Riverdale, with the Rev. Tim Daugherty, the Rev. Dwight Stallings, and the Rev. Madel Via officiating. Interment was at King Cemetery, Riverdale.

Survivors include his wife, Edith S. Jones, Riverdale, brothers, J. L. and Effie Jones, and Chester Jones, both of Blue Ridge; and a sister, Pat and Bo Carden, Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
