Ernest "Pitty Pat" Patterson, Fayetteville, formerly of Caro, Mich., died Jan. 10, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Roger and Olga Rebecca Kolberg Thornton Patterson. He was graduated from Caro High School in 1953, and was retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service.

Memorial services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. William O. Priester, the Rev. Dr. Jerry Cross and Pastor Theo Carter officiating. Interment was at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton. Survivors include his wife, Linda Jungbluth Patterson, Fayetteville; sons, John and Stacee Patterson, Burns, Tenn., and Jeff Patterson, Douglasville; a daughter, Amy Patterson, Fayetteville; sisters, Eileen Ingles, Harbor Beach, Mich., and Jackie Larson, Caro, Mich.; and grandchildren, Brittney Patterson, Christopher Patterson, Jason Pickard, Derek Patterson, and Isabella Patterson. Memorial donations may be made to the National MS Society, P. O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
