James Craig Parrish Sr., 64, Fayettevile, died Jan. 2, 2009. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristi Nicole Parrish. He was a veteran of Vietnam and the recipient of two Purple Hearts. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mickey Parrish, Fayetteville; a son, James Craig Parrish Jr.; a daughter, Kimberly and Gregory Dal Porto, Milner; grandchildren, Natalie Durham, Kelsey Parish, Kaitlin Kee, and Sarah Parrish; a great-grandchild, Lila Gail Durham; brothers, David Parrish and Jon Parrish; and a sister, Mary and Larry Self. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
