Did I read the articlein the AJC correctly? The FCBOE has asked teachers to "voluntarily" donate their raises?!? This brings questions to my mind, does anyone else wonder about this? Do you reckon the BOE, all their layers of management, multiple assistants, and that person who made $22(?)an hour making copies, wonder if they donated their raise? I believe each and every 'higher-up' that requests employees to give up something, should share with us specifically what they gave up for the cause. Gov of Georgia asking us to tighten our belts, cutting employees, etc. while he travels to Spain, builds fish camps, etc. Other than asking everyone in the state to sacrifice, what has he personally given up? I know of examples where expenses have been cut to the bone (things that only apply to employees), trying not to find it necessary to let people go, very kind of them; however, the higher ups continue to drive company car, with gas expenses paid, and making business trips out of the country. Does not sound as though much has been sacrificed by this person. Maybe it's just me . . . eodnnaenaj1's blog | login to post comments |
