Auditions for Wilde play next week

Auditions for “The Importance of Being Earnest,” Main Street Players next production, will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 7 and 8, at The Main Street Theatre, 115 North Hill Street, in Griffin, Ga, starting ay 7 p.m. each night. 

Auditioners need to prepare a one-minute monologue. 

 Roles open are for two women in their 20's, two men in their 20's, two men any age over 20, one man 35 plus, one woman 40 plus and one man 40 plus.

 Callbacks are possible for the following Saturday, Jan. 10.

 “The Importance of Being Earnest,” by Oscar Wilde, will perform Feb. 26 through March 8, 2009, with performances Thursday, Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Anyone winning an audition is expected to perform in every performance as well as rehearsals four weeks prior to the performance dates.
