Hazel Durrence "Beamie" Strickland, 91, died Dec. 16, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Dorsey Strickland. Memorial services were at First Baptist Church, Glennville, Ga. Survivors include a son, Alan and Shirley Strickland, Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Zeanna and Jim Henley, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Robin Hearington, Jimmy Henley and Scott Henley, all of Fayetteville, Paul Henley, McDonough, Stefanie Strickland, Miami, Fla., and Alison Strickland, Honolulu, Hawaii; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sue and Floyd Fallin, Claxton, Ga. Memorial donations may be made to the Gideons Bible Fund, P. O. Box 498, Fayetteville, GA 30214. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
