Mary Fricks died Dec. 17, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert "Buster" Fricks, and a daughter, Mary Alice Rudisill. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Forest Park.

Survivors include daughters, Theda Gardener, and Barbara Farrill, both of Fayetteville, and Phyllis Williford, McDonough; five grandsons; one granddaughter; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
