‘Prayers and Squares’ meets Jan. 3
“Prayers and Squares” is a prayer quilt ministry at Hopewell United Methodist Church where participants learn to make prayer quilts for shut-ins and people who are ill. Nettie Wilson does the instruction at her studio on Trammell Road. Those who are interested in learning to quilt, or those would like to participate in the prayer quilt ministry, may contact Nettie at 770-631-0980 or 770-722-7221. The next session will be Saturday, Jan. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.

CTK changes early service schedule
On Sunday, Jan. 4, the time of the early service at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church will be changed from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. There is also a service at 10 a.m. The church is at 4881 Ga. Hwy. 34 East, Sharpsburg.

Brooks Ladies Coffee House meets Jan. 9
Ladies in the community are invited to Brooks United Methodist Church for morning of fair trade coffee, breakfast, fellowship, music, and a guest speaker, Mrs. Marge Price, on Friday., Jan. 9, from 9-10:30 a.m. Brooks UMC is 3 miles south of Starr’s Mill on Ga. B’nai Israel to offer Judaism class
Congregation B’nai Israel will offer a “Judaism: Are you Curious?” class on Jan. 10 and 24 from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The class is open to the community and is free of charge, but registration is required. The six hour course will include the basics of Jewish belief, customs, culture, holidays and life cycle events and will be held at Congregation B’nai Israel in Fayetteville. Bible study begins at Hopewell Jan. 12
Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone will offer a six-week Bible study for men, women and teens entitled “The Vision of His Glory” beginning Jan. 12 and continuing each Monday at 7 p.m. The study, taught by Phyllis Gaddy, is based on a book by Anne Graham Lotz. LifeKeys class to be offered at COS
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will offer a LifeKeys course for adults ages 21 and up. LifeKeys is a spiritually based program that helps individuals discover their life gifts, spiritual gifts, personality type, values, and passions. Classes will meet Sunday mornings from 9 to 10:30 a.m. beginning Jan. 11. Participant Fee is $30. Contact the church office to register, 770-487-8717.
