Mr. and Mrs. Timothy H. Brock of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Elizabeth, to William Gregory Davis, son of the late Robert Gregory Davis and Mrs. Glenda Grooms Davis of Newnan.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Paul G. Tanner and Mrs. Patricia McGuffey Tanner of Orlando, Fla. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe T. Brock of Fairburn. She is a 2001 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2005 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned her bachelor of science in early childhood education. She currently teaches kindergarten at The Heritage School in Newnan.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. (Jake) Grooms of Carrollton and the late Dr. E.D. Davis and Mrs. Lois Davis of Carrollton. He is a 1998 graduate of The Heritage School and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University, where he earned his bachelor of science in marketing. He is currently working in commercial real estate.

The wedding will take place June 6, 2009, at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta with the reception at The Fox Theatre. After honeymooning in Antigua, the couple will reside in Newnan.
