Disgruntled Parents against Blue Devils

Okay people, enough is enough. I have read the articles and blogs over the last several weeks regarding the Fayette County Blue Devils during the playoffs and championship games this season. Again, enough is enough so let's set the record straight. One, the new league was set up at the request of several parks in the conference , not just Fayette County. The new conference is comprised of several new parks and only three established parks, Fayette County being the oldest and most established. Unfortunately for all the other parks involved that is a disadvantage for them. Once the new parks get their programs built there will be some tough competition in this conference. Sorry guys, that is reality. As for charging for the playoffs and the championships, that is done by the host park for every sport I can think of. You pay entry fees for baseball, soccer, basketball, wrestling, and softball tournaments so why should football be any different? That is the cost of being a parent and having your children involved in sports. Get over it. If you don't think Fayette County is the best park to host this type of event then talk to the president of your association and ask him/her to get your park into a condition to host this type of event. As for the vandalism and break-ins that is an issue you need to take up with the Fayette County Marshall's office as this is what your tax money goes towards. Finally, if the perception is that the Blue Devils don't demand class from their parents and athletes then why is that there were no police called on any of their fans at any other park, why is that no Blue Devils coaches (cheerleading or football) were seen or heard taunting other teams and their parents, why is it that the Blue Devils have not been accused of breaking or stretching the rules, why is it there are no Blue Devils crying "foul" after taking losses both in football and at cheerleading competitions? That would be because Blue Devils demand class and integrity and have the confident expectation that parents and players alike will conduct themselves accordingly. It amazes me that the responses from Blue Devil parents are calm, cool, and collected but the reposes from parents at other parks are demeaning and accusitory. Could that be because Blue Devils know they are right and have nothing to hide? That is my impression. Maybe one day you will get your wish that the Blue Devils will fall flat on their face and stop being the BEST in the business but until the grantor of wishes smiles upon you keep dreaming -- the Fayette County Blue Devils will be "often imitated, but never duplicated" for a very, very long time.
