Jack Fannin, 89, Carrollton, formerly of Atlanta, died Dec. 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Eady Fannin, and a daughter, Jackie Avrett. He was a postal carrier for over 30 years before retirement. He loved sports, gardening and cheering on his Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Graveside services were at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, with Minister Herman Miller officiating. Survivors include a son, Jimmy and Debbie Fannin, Fayetteville; a son-in-law, Herb Avrett, McDonough; grandchildren, Jimmy and Chris Jones, and Mandy Jones, McDonough, and Ashley Fannin and Allison Fannin both of Fayetteville; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Jones, Colin Jones, and Gabe Jones.
Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
