Mary Stinchcomb, 87, Fayetteville, died Dec. 5, 2008. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sherman Meehan Sr., second husband, John Robert Stinchcomb, and a son, Sherman Meehan Jr. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Fayetteville, where she loved attending her Sunday School class. She loved her family and adored children.

Services were at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randy S. Wood, the Rev. Nolan Jackson, and the Rev. Bill Brannon officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include sons Gene Meehan, Fayetteville, and David and Sandra Meehan, Statesville, N.C.; daughters, Brenda and Gordon Byrd, Fayetteville, and Linda and Carl Lowder, Social Circle; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
