Holiday spectacle: a light and music showFri, 12/12/2008 - 2:27pm
By: John Munford
For the third year in a row, a Peachtree City man’s holiday labor of love has turned into a light and sound extravaganza ... and all on the exterior of his Peachtree City home. Art Carpenter’s home in The Preserve subdivision is once again the site of a synchronized show that features a host of blinking lights timed to traditional and modern Christmas music. Though rain this week has cut into the shows, Carpenter is hoping for better weather so more people can drive by and enjoy his family’s labor of love. The display consists of thousands upon thousands of computer controlled lights. Carpenter’s home is located at 309 Cumberland Court and the display is on weeknights from dark until 9:30 and weekend nights from dark until about 10:30. “I do it for my community, my kids and the kids in the neighborhood,” Carpenter said, noting his wife provided significant assistance this year. login to post comments |
