I am seeking the Post 3 of Tyrone Council for the following reasons:

1. Enforce the land use plan and update the plan: Land use plans are developed to determine the overall economic impact of the community. Once it is adopted, it should remain the town’s guide to economic development and should be updated every five years.

2. Get a handle on erosion control. Hold those responsible for erosion control accountable.

3. Review funding methods, stabilize taxes. Determine and plan the most efficient method of funding capital projects and equipment. Consider bonds. Bonds assure that capital costs are shared by the users of these assets, now and in the future. Currently Tyrone does NO bonding of capital improvement projects.

4. Work closely with state and local governments to develop a positive working relationship on issues that affect the town of Tyrone.

5. Balance the growth of Tyrone with the tax base to make certain that new development has a positive impact on the community.

I look forward to serving on your council to insure citizens have input on important issues such as long-term planning and recreation.
