Recording artist Charles Haugabrooks will be in concert at McDonough Road Baptist Church this Sunday, Dec. 14, in both morning and evening services. The Florida native began singing at age three, and has presented sacred music concerts throughout the United States, and in Africa, Romania, Canada, Central America, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and Bermuda.

He retired this year from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando to devote full-time to music evangelism and sacred concerts.

Along with concerts, Haugabrooks has appeared on various television ministries broadcast nationally, sung the national anthem for the NBA’s Orlando Magic games, and was Lockheed Martin soloist for various company related social, patriotic and business events.

Haugabrooks says his mission is “to use the medium of music in a way that magnifies the character of God and to present music and testimony in a manner that is spiritually edifying, entertaining and clear so the listener may hear the voice of God.”

The concert is part of McDonough Road’s “Season of Praise” emphasis. The church is at 352 McDonough Rd., just past the department of drivers’ services location. Services are at 10:55 a.m. and 6 p.m.Childcare is provided and the public is invited to attend. Dr. David L. Chancey is pastor.
