The company that brought you “ The Grinch” A contemporary ballet has done it once again with “Babes in Toyland”.  Evolving Pointe Ensemble a non profit dance company in conjunction with Dance Contempra’s Centre For Dance Education in Peachtree City have joined forces once again to update a holiday classic.

 “Babes in Toyland” is a mixture of Classical and Contemporary dance forms and includes Tap and Jazz.  The ballet uses narration in an easy and fun to follow format and includes elements from several other contemporary Christmas classics like “The Polar Express”. Directors Paola Jenkins and Kara Gillcrist used this format in order to include “something for everybody” and to inspire younger children unfamiliar with the holiday classic.

 The Ballet in its entirety will be performed on Dec. 6 at Willie Duke Auditiorium (Starr’s Mill High School in Peachtree City) at 3 p.m.. Tickets cost $12 for adults $10 for students, Children 8 and under are free and will be available at the box office.
