Longbranch Restaurant in Fayetteville is hosting a fund-raiser for a Fayette County 911 operator who needs a kidney transplant. The money will go to Holly Chambers, whose kidneys have been ravaged by the autoimmune disease Lupus, which she was diagnosed with 12 years ago. On Saturday, Dec. 13 the restaurant will accept donations between noon and 10 p.m. There will also be barbecue plates on sale and a presale for spiral hams and beef briskets. A performance of the legendary Chicken Man show is also scheduled that evening at 8:30. Longbranch is located behind the Waffle House on Ga. Highway 85 north in Fayetteville. Chambers, 33, is a 12-year veteran of the Fayette County 911 Center and is a 1997 graduate of McIntosh High School. login to post comments |
