Festival of Lessons and Carols is this Sunday
The Sanctuary Choir of First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will present A Festival of Lessons and Carols Sunday, Nov. 30, at 11:15 a.m. The story of the fall of man, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus are told in short Bible readings, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols and hymns. First Presbyterian Church is at 206 Willowbend Rd. across from the city library.

COS offers ‘Blue Christmas’ service
The annual Blue Christmas Service at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will be Monday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. Sponsored by the church’s Caring Ministry, the service is for everyone, but especially for those who have experienced a loss and are dealing with grief. Included are prayers, meditations on the season, Holy Communion and blessings (participation optional), and music by the Christ Our Shepherd Flute Choir. For more information, call 770-487-8717. It Is Written church announces new location
It Is Written Atlanta church will have opening services at its new location Monday, Dec. 1 and Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Fayette Seventh Day Adventist Church, 814 New Hope Rd., Fayetteville. St. Paul Lutheran presents ‘Love Came Down’
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will present a free performance of the Christmas musical drama, “Love Came Down,” on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. “Love Came Down” is a play retelling the story of the birth of Jesus through inspirational music, narration, time-period costumers and a cast of all ages. FFBC dinner theater features children’s choirs
The children’s choirs at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will present a dinner theater Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7, with both performances at 6 p.m. The dinner is free but seating is limited so reservations must be made. Clayton State Gospel Choir to perform
The Clayton State University Gospel Choir will give its Fall Concert Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the university’s new Student Activities Center. The concert, which will also feature some up-and-coming artists from the Metro Atlanta area as well as the Clayton State students in the choir, will last for approximately 90 minutes.
