As a long-time resident of Fayette County, I’m excited about the opportunity to serve the citizens of Tyrone. I’m running because I want to guide healthy responsible growth, facilitate an efficient well-managed government, and bring new energetic leadership to Tyrone.

In 1977 my family moved to Fayette County where I graduated from Fayette County High School in 1986. I began working full-time, while putting myself through college earning a degree in civil engineering from Southern Tech.

I married the former Kimora Loewy of Peachtree City after graduation and we now have two wonderful children, Hannah, age 8, and Ethan, age 5. Both of our children attend Tyrone Elementary where I’ve served as a Tyrone Elementary School Council member.

My professional experience is in environmental engineering where I first worked for a firm specializing in municipal projects and now do the same running my own engineering firm right here in Tyrone.

I’ve designed water, sewer, storm drainage, transportation, and park projects all over the state of Georgia, including the water treatment plant in Fayetteville.

It was this engineering experience gained working for other municipalities that made me want to become more active in Tyrone. In 2001, I volunteered to serve on Tyrone’s Planning Commission and was appointed to my first term. I was re-appointed to a second term, the last as chairman, before stepping down in 2004.

Now that a council post has become open, I feel I bring the necessary leadership, work ethic, and new ideas to the position.

If elected, I pledge to listen to all of Tyrone’s residents and businesses in making decisions regarding all issues in our wonderful town.

I want to ensure healthy responsible growth we can all be proud of. I also want to be part of an efficient well-managed government and will work to attract new businesses in our industrial park helping to reduce the tax burden on our citizens.

Finally, I feel my engineering background will bring needed guidance regarding infrastructure issues in Tyrone, something that’s surely to be needed in the coming years.

Finally, I would like to thank The Citizen for allowing us to communicate our message. And to the readers: thank you for your time and interest. If you have any questions, please contact me directly at 678-870-3013 (office) or 770-900-5510 (cell). I believe quality representation begins with communication. I would love to hear from you.
