The Rotary Club of Newnan has given the Souns for literacy program to the Senoia Public Library for the library’s new, weekly, infant / toddler classes. An introductory class will be Monday, Dec. 1, at 10:30 a.m. The classes will be scheduled weekly beginning in January, 2009, and are for parents and their infants / toddlers up to 24 months of age. Souns is an informal, hands-on literacy program that introduces letter-sound knowledge to children during their most language sensitive period. Rotary International is committed to affecting literacy, both in the community and in the world. The Rotary Club of Newnan is thrilled to be making a difference for the children in Coweta County. Please call Library Manager, Aime Scarborough, at 770-599-3537 for information on the classes. login to post comments |
