A overnight burglary at Moe’s Mexican restaurant in Fayetteville left the business with a stolen safe and phone lines cut.

The restaurant is located on the west side of Ga. Highway 85 and just south of Fayette Pavilion.

An unknown number of burglars entered the store sometime between 10:15 p.m. Monday and 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, said Fayetteville Police spokesman Steve Crawshaw.

Crawshaw said phone lines were cut along with some of the lines to the alarm system.

Once inside, burglars pried the safe from the floor and carried it off, Crawshaw said. Also stolen was a credit card machine, he added.
