Sewer hike punishes conservation

Don’t you just love it? We already pay a high premium for sewage, and because we have been good stewards of our very precarious water supply, the sewage authority is going to raise our rates 10 percent over the next year.

We were mandated to conserve our water, and because this brings sewage rate collections down to the minimum for a lot of households, they decide to punish us for our conservation.

What better time to raise rates when people are losing their precious IRAs and 401ks. Let’s dump another tax on them.

It just does not pay. Think I will go back to washing my car in the driveway.
