It is that time of the year and Main Street Newnan is kicking it off in style with their annual Holiday Open House, Sunday, Nov. 9th from 1-5 p.m. Merchants will unveil their new Christmas merchandise as well as providing live entertainment on the Square. This Sunday event has been a Christmas tradition in downtown Newnan for over twenty years.

Entertainment will include Voices Performing Group. Voices will be performing a preview of their “Christmas Mist” production that will be held at the Wadsworth Auditorium on Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Scott’s Book Store. Georgia Youth Ballet will have two performances, one at 1:30 p.m. and the other at 3:30 p.m.  Star Dance Studio will be on hand to perform and entertain at 2 p.m.

“This really gets everyone in the holiday spirit”, said Linda Kee, Director of Business Development. “We have an incredible line up this season with Santa’s arrival on Nov. 28 from 6-8 p.m. followed by parades, community wide caroling, horse and carriage rides, even a “Cruise for Two” give away.  We are especially looking forward to the Festival of Lights Parade on Dec. 20. This will be a very competitive holiday season.  We hope that customers appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and superior customer service that can only happen in a small business atmosphere. You can’t find the owner in a big box retailer but you sure can in downtown Newnan!”

Shoppers will be able to register for Santa’s VIP Party to be held on Dec. 20 at 4:30 p.m. downtown at Espresso Lane.  One child will be chosen from each store to attend a party with Santa and be treated to personal time with Santa, Fabiano’s pizza and cookies and hot chocolate from Espresso Lane.  Ballots will be available for the Cruise For Two Give Away.  Participants can register once a day in each participating store.  The cruise will be awarded on Dec. 24 at noon on South Court Square. You must be present to win.  For more information please go to www.mainstreetnewnan.com
