Richard L. "Rick" Lawhorn Jr., Peachtree City, died Oct. 27, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Lawhorn Sr. He was employed with Delta Air Lines where he was chosen for the Chairman's Club. He was very active with Habitat for Humanity. Memorial services were at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Jordan officiating. Survivors include his wife, Cari Barkei-Lawhorn, Peachtree City; children, Ingrid Lawhorn, Stanford, Calif., Gretchen Lawhorn, Brigitte Lawhorn, and Yvette Lawhorn, all of Peachtree City; stepsons, Maj. Erik Barkei, Belmont, Mass., Karl Barkei, Las Vegas; two grandchildren; mother, June Lawhorn, Broken Arrow, Okla.; and siblings, James Lawhorn, Southern California, Lynne Westaway, New Hampshire, Mary Scherer, Kathy Hadley, and Tim Lawhorn, all of Massachusetts. Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
