Members of McDonough Road Baptist church will kick off their upcoming “40 Days of Community” study for adults and youth with a worship rally Sunday night, Feb. 26, led by Rick Warren and his staff via video.

The “40 Days of Community” Bible study will begin March 5 and will continue for six weeks.

The study focuses on one of the five purposes in Warren’s “The Purpose Driven Life,” that of building a true community among the church body while, at the same time, reaching out to the community and ministering to them.

“We hope people will make plans to be here as we learn we are better together, belong together, grow together, serve together, reach out together and worship together,” said the Rev. David Chancey, pastor of McDonough Road.

Those who have already read “The Purpose Driven Life” are encouraged to read it again in preparation for this new study.

“Those who don’t have a copy of the book are encouraged to pick up one at their local bookstore and begin reading through it. As you read the book, you will want to have your Bible at hand so you can turn to and mark the passages referred to in the book,”Chancey added.

For more information on the upcoming study, call the church office, 770-460-5423. Or visit the church Web site, www.mcdonoughroad.org.

McDonough Road Baptist is at 352 McDonough Road, off Ga. Hwy. 54, east of Fayetteville.
