I enter my candidacy for mayor of Peachtree City, not as a politician, but as a public servant and a partner to the people of this great city.

My campaign is based on bringing all people together. The most important task for us as a community is to create a positive tone so that businesses can grow and the people can prosper. Likewise, we need to control growth and preserve our heritage.

A mayor’s primary job is to serve the people. I promise to take a conservative set of ideals and beliefs to the mayoral office that reflects the will of the people of Peachtree City and builds your trust in local government.

City government should not create obstacles for residents and local businesses. Instead, government should be a partner with its citizens to create constructive change according to the will of the people. It is equally important that we foster a positive relationship with other governmental entities to ensure the enhancement and prosperity of our city.

Peachtree City cannot thrive while focusing on negative issues. Finding solutions is a better approach than making public statements about who’s to blame.

As the sign on Ronald Reagan’s desk read, “There’s no limit to what a man can accomplish if he doesn’t care who gets the credit.” Like President Reagan, I believe in the basic goodness of human nature.

Our city staff and volunteers are very capable of keeping this city in the top 10 most attractive places to live in the country. A mayor doesn’t do that alone, nor does a city council. A wise mayor surrounds himself with capable people, gives them guidance and resources, and then allows them to do their jobs.

Finally, as mayor, I pledge to achieve success. If I cannot move forward with the annexation, move forward with TDK Boulevard, and resolve the Tennis Center issues, I will return my mayoral salary back to the city.

My vision includes a tax plan that will save the city approximately $350,000 a year, separate town hall meetings for or neighborhoods, seniors citizens, and young adults between the ages of 14 to 18 years old.

Responsible growth, safety for our citizens, and efficient, well-managed government.
