James Edgar Giddens Sr., 83, Fayetteville, died Oct. 21, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Giddens. He was a member of the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge F&AM #711 and the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville.

Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Jim Van Winkle officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy and Diane Giddens, Senoia; daughters, Elaine Howell, Trenton, Ga., Connie Giddens, Hampton, and Terri and John O'Hearn, Stockbridge; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben Giddens, Forsyth, and Gene Giddens, Gainesville, Fla.; and sisters, Dorothy Youngblood, Forsyth, and Mary Ann Simpson, Canton.
