The Southern Crescent Chorale under the direction of Janice Folsom is proud to present their fifth annual benefit concert on Sat., Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church on Highway 92 South in Fayetteville.  The concert will benefit The Fayette Youth Protection Home in Fayetteville.

Choirs from Fayette County High School, Georgia Young Men’s Ensemble and the Gwinnett Choral Guild will join the Chorale for an evening of outstanding choral music.  Each choir will perform a short concert alone and at the conclusion of the concert, all choirs will join forces to perform three pieces for a grand finale.  The Fayette County High School Chorus is conducted by Richard Prouty and the Georgia Young Men’s Ensemble and Gwinnett Choral Guild, under the direction of Phillip Shoultz, are all outstanding ensembles and the Southern Crescent Chorale will be honored to share the stage with them for this occasion. Leslie Wade, president of the Fayette Youth Protection Home Board of Directors will briefly speak about the work of the organization and all audience members will have the opportunity to make a donation at the event.

Admission to the concert is free. Donations for the Fayette Youth Protection Home will be accepted.

The SCC has raised over $14,000 for worthy recipients such as the Atlanta Boys and Girls Club, the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, Southwest Christian Care “Hope House” Respite Center, and the Joseph Sam’s School.  They are happy to continue this tradition of using their talents to give back to the community.
