Goedker hired as new town clerk in TyroneFri, 10/24/2008 - 2:36pm
By: Ben Nelms
What began two years ago for Nancy Goedker as a move from Strafford, New Hampshire to work with the ministries of Operation Mobilization in Tyrone ended in mid-October with former U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant being hired as the new town clerk. Though relatively new to Tyrone, Goedker is not new to town government. Goedker served at town clerk in Strafford from 1996-2003. She was the director of the after-school program for Youth Safe Haven in Rochester, New Hampshire and a 20-year Air Force veteran prior to moving south to serve as Human Resources Coordinator for Operation Mobilization. “I love the area and a wanted to stay. It feels like home,” Goedker said, sitting on the picnic table outside town hall. “I’m very much a people person and I enjoy a challenge and being able to help any way I can. And I hope to be able to meet the needs of the town and serve the citizens in a positive way.” login to post comments |
