Bessie Mae "Doodle" Taylor, 93, Newnan, died Oct. 10, 2008. She was born July 19, 1915 in Carroll County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Morgan and Willie Garner Kee, her husband, Huel Taylor, and sons, Gary Taylor, Royce Taylor, and Donny Taylor. She was a longtime member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church.

Services were at the McKoon chapel with the Rev. Dr. Melvin Payne officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include sons, Frankie Taylor, and Dewayne and Jan Taylor; daughters, Betty Haynes, Patricia and Ronnie Stancill, and Connie and Alan England; daughter-in-law, Betty Taylor; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
