Cecil Thompson Brimer, 91, Newnan, died Oct. 15, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Morn Thompson, and sisters, Louise Williams, and Mary Emma Sikes.

Graveside services were at the Elim Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary Parrish, the Rev. Dr. Wallace McAbee and the Rev. Dr. Watson Mills officiating.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann and Bill Poe, Newnan; sisters, Catherine Gatlin, Union City, and Martha Stallings, Lithia Springs; grandchildren, Lynne Ansley Blanton, Stockbridge, Brent and Mary Ansley, Evans, Ga., and Steve and Hope Ansley, Newnan; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
