Local World War II veteran Charles Bishop gets a greeting of thanks from an active military member during Bishop’s trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. provided by Honor Flight Fayette. The Honor Flight veterans, who went free of charge for the day-long trip, were greeted at the airport by a cheering crowd and other active veterans who showed their appreciation for the sacrifices they made.
