Elementary school positions reduced included 11 regular education teachers, one physical education teacher, two special education teachers, two special education pre-K teachers, two parapros, 3.5 special education parapros, 4.5 special education pre-K parapros and one administrative position. And at central office with a total of 9.5 positions reduced, the board approved cuts to one administrator, one construction supervisor, one speech/language pathologist, one reading program position, three diagnosticians, a half-time parent mentor, a half-time physical therapist, a half-time occupational therapist, a half-time bookkeeper and a half-time payroll assistant. School system officials in previous meetings have said they will continue to review the potential for further reductions. login to post comments |
