Marcella C. "Marcy" Walker 55, Fayetteville, died Oct. 15, 2008. She had fought a courageous 14 month battle with leukemia. She was an active member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, and was known for her dedication, enthusiasm and generosity. She had been a Girl Scout troop leader, a flight attendant for Eastern Air Lines, a graphic designer for Frank Cawood and Associates, an assistant teacher at East Fayette Elementary and most recently as a bus driver for the Fayette County Board of Education. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Mark Westmoreland officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include her husband Harold Eugene "Gene" Walker, Fayetteville; a daughter, Jennifer Jean Walker, Fayetteville; mother, Lourdes Clapham; sisters, Patricia and Lalo Casanova, Houston, Texas, and Pamela and Bill Ross, Chicago; a sister-in-law, Linda Kay W. and Hubert Lang, St. Simons Island; and eight nieces and nephews; and one grand-nephew. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. login to post comments |
