Inman UMC plans Trunk or Treat
Inman United Methodist Church’s annual Trunk or Treat will be Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Minter Farm from 5:30-9 p.m. Food, games and prizes will be available. For more information, call 770-461-6765.

Knights at St. Mary’s will host BBQ Saturday
The Knights of Columbus, Council #12862, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church will have a fund-raising barbecue Saturday, Oct. 25, from noon until 7 p.m. in the church parish hall. The event will feature plates of pork barbecue, Brunswick stew, coleslaw, bread and chips for $8. Plates will be available for dinner in the hall or for takeout. This year’s barbecue chef is Johnny Brown’s place. Tickets are available through members of the Knights or at the church door.

Mission Impossible event set for Oct. 25
First Baptist Church in Peachtree City will host a “Mission Impossible assignment” for students in grades 6-8 on Saturday, Oct. 25, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Students will be transported from The bridge at First Baptist PTC to the Mission Impossible site and will return from their assignment by 10 p.m. For more information, contact Lee Brewer at 770-487-8133, ext. 2003, or leeb@fbcptc.org. Redemption plans health fair, yard sale
Redemption Fellowship Church, 418 Highway 279 in Fayetteville, will host a health fair and yard sale Saturday, Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event includes a 3K run/walk, health screenings, CPR training, and tips on healthy eating, exercise, and first aid safety. Brooks UMC to host Fall Festival
Brooks UMC will host a Fall Festival Sunday, Oct. 26, from 5 – 7 p.m. The event will feature trunk trick-or-treating for the children, carnival games and an inflatable to play on. Warm soup and hotdogs will be available for a donation. A pumpkin patch for purchasing pumpkins also will be available. The church is 3 miles south of Starr’s Mill on Ga. Hwy. 85 Connector. ‘Slime Time’ featured at Christ Our Shepherd
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church invites parents, grandparents, friends, and kids of all ages to Slime Time on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. This Halloween alternative event features games, pizza, crafts, prizes, and slime. FFUMC’s Fall Festival is Oct. 26
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have its annual Fall Festival Sunday, Oct. 26, from 5 - 7:30 p.m. The event will feature carnival games, cotton candy, inflatable obstacle course and sports arena, trunk-or-treat and more. The church is at 175 East Lanier Ave., across the street from the Fayette County Courthouse.

PTC Presbyterian to host ‘Potluck Picnic’
First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will host a community Potluck Picnic Sunday, Oct. 26, from 12:15 - 4 p.m., featuring potluck food, apple cider, popcorn and other foods, bingo, carnival games, pumpkin decorating, and more. Live music will be provided by the Barn Rats, a blue grass band. The church is at 206 Willowbend Rd. in Peachtree City.

Danny Daniels to minister at Vineyard
Vineyard worship artist Danny Daniels will minister at the South Metro Vineyard Church Saturday morning, Oct. 25, with an informal contemporary evangelism seminar from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. He will also lead the worship Sunday, Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m. South Metro Vineyard Church meets in the Fellowship Hall on the campus of National Heights Baptist Church, 103 Old Norton Rd., Fayetteville. Alive UFO Night set at New Hope South
New Hope Baptist Student Ministry presents “Alive UFO Night” Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at New Hope South Campus (Hwy. 74, Senoia) for middle and high school students and their friends. Activities will include Cosmic Laser Tag, G-Force Orbit Ride, Rock Wall, Jedi Joust, Rocket Turbo Slide, Cosmic Putt-Putt, Halo & Wii “The Force Unleashed.” A wristband for $3 allows unlimited fun. Perlieu Stew goes on sale Nov. 1
The annual Perlieu (Per’-loo) Stew sale will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church Nov. 1, from noon until 5 p.m., unless it’s sold out earlier. Plates are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Pints are $6 and quarts are $10. Perlieu stew is similar to Brunswick stew, except with chicken as the meat. In the old days, it was a community event where the women picked the last of their garden vegetables and the men went hunting and whatever they gathered went into the stew. Bethany UMC is on Rivers Road at the intersection of Lee’s Mill, Milam and Rivers roads.
