CAP hosting open house

On Oct. 27, the Civil Air Patrol is hosting an open house meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Newnan-Coweta county airport. The open house will extend until 8:30 p.m. There will be fun and educational activities for student. Families are invited. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the meeting.

The Civil Air Patrol is a non-profit volunteer organization. Since 1941 this civilian air force has offered its services to America. The Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program is a comprehensive structure of testing and hands on exercises to teach students the growing importance of good management and leadership skills in tomorrow’s world. The program focuses on public speaking, planning, resource and time management, physical fitness, human relations, and aerospace. All the while, the program gives students instruction in the Air Force values of integrity, service, and excellence.

The Newnan-Coweta Cadet squadron is Coweta’s link to this fantastic program. They meet on Monday evenings on the Newnan-Coweta County Airport at 6:30 p.m. For more information visit the website at www.gawg.cap.gov/GA448
