Market Place Events has chosen Georgia Heartland Humane Society (GHHS) to be their charity partner at the Home Show, October 17-19, at the Georgia International Convention Center.

GHHS will be the recipient of the proceeds from the Gas for a Decade Raffle and another fun event, the silent auction for birdhouses painted by famous Georgians and Atlantans.

Marketplace Events has donated space to GHHS to showcase their rescued animals and their mission to rescue abused, abandoned and unwanted animals.  Come by to see Jack & Jill, the Manx syndrome kittens, Nugget, the blind cat and his buddy Mouse who has befriended him, and other adorable and deserving animals.

And while you are visiting the GHHS exhibit, you should check out other exciting events near the GHHS booth, the Ultimate Airdogs, the Stage where you will see celebrity guests from HGTV, and the Living Green Tour where you can test environmentally friendly products and learn how to conserve energy.

Ultimate Airdogs is one of the premier dock jumping organizations in the country, hosted by Milt Wilcox, who pitched for the Detroit Tigers in the 1984 World Series. The public can register their dogs for competition at The Home Show.

Get your tickets for the Home Show online at www.atlhomeshow.com.  Tickets at the door $10 for adults $3 for children. Online adult ticket $8.
