Pondering life in PTC

I like to walk the paths in PTC and ponder about life. Recently I saw a retired librarian and, a couple of days later, five elderly men picking up trash along the paths. They called themselves the Trash Mafia.

This started me thinking of what makes PTC and Fayette County such a great place to live. Then, Sallie Satterthwaite's column about Miriam Fulton, came to mind.

This led to recollections about some of the great past leaders of PTC and Fred Brown came to mind. This, unhappily, led me to Steve Brown and I had to stop to clear my mind of unhappy thoughts.

Then, Janet Smola, The Great Georgia Air Show and the FCBOE came to mind. How could three admirable entities be joined together and made into a bad thing? Why do some people tear down that which they know nothing of? We are all entitled to our opinions but not our own facts.

This is a great community to live and watch your grandchildren grow up in. Please do not make unfounded accusations. Attend meetings, talk to people involved, get involved. You can then make this an even better place to live.
