SFM volunteers from Fayette & Coweta set up 2 homes in 2 days

Fayette County’s Square Foot Ministry participated in a “blitz build” in Lanett, Ala. the weekend of Oct. 10-11.

SFM and The Fuller Center for Housing, an ecumenical Christian group founded by Millard Fuller of Habitat for Humanity, sponsored the project.

The build was named in memory of Jim Jones, a long-time member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church and supporter of Square Foot Ministry.

The group of over 50 volunteers raised the walls and put the roofs on two houses in two days. Volunteers came from Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, Providence United Methodist Church, Tyrone Christian Church, A Better Way Ministries (Sharpsburg), and Grace Point Presbyterian Church (Cumming).
