Japanese restaurant coming to PTCFri, 10/10/2008 - 2:40pm
By: John Munford
Peachtree City will be getting a new restaurant next month as Sushi Tomi takes the place of the former Sushi Yoshi restaurant off Ga. Highway 74 north near Wisdom Road. Sushi Tomi will serve “authentic Japanese cuisine” including, of course, sushi. They will also serve beer and wine, and they should be open in early November, a company representative said. The alcohol license was approved by the Peachtree City Council in a special called meeting Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. In what may be a record for the shortest council meeting in the modern era, it also approved a request to waive the city’s golf cart registration requirements for a one-day special event at the Wyndham Peachtree Executive Conference Center. The hotel needs 81 golf carts for the event, and local dealers only have 57 available for rental, so some carts will need to be rented from other dealers, said City Manager Bernie McMullen. The Wyndham routinely hosts golf cart scavenger hunts as part of the events it offers for companies who have conferences at the center. login to post comments |
