Betty A. "B.J." Waller, 79, Fayetteville, formerly of Knoxville, died Sept. 30, 2008. She had resided in Fayetteville for the past five years to be near family members. She was retired from teaching for 27 years primarily biology, general science and chemistry. She received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Tennessee. Memorial services were at St. James Episcopal Church, Knoxville. Survivors include sons, Robert T. and Bonny Wardell, Sunrise, Fla., and David E. and Elaina Wardell, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Sam and Amy Wardell, Evergreen, Colo., Sarah and Jeff King, Jacksonville, Fla., Candice Koss, Sunrise, Fla., Alex Koss, Jacksonville, Fla., Seth A. and Gina Wardell, Cumming, Jonathan A. Wardell, Ft. Bragg, N.C., Benjamin M. Wardell, Fayetteville, Adam D. Grey, Atlanta, and Paul M Grey, Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jonathan Koss, Sunrise, Fla., and Ella Wardell, Cumming; and brother, James F. and Jean Anderson Jr. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
