Whitewater’s Lady Wildcat softball team has advanced in the region 5-AAAA softball tournament by defeating Starr’s Mill 16-0 in three innings. Kristy Cook earned the win on the mound for Whitewater, facing 10 batters, striking out three and walking one. At the plate, Jamie Saunders hit two home runs and drove in four runs, while MacKenzie Mosley went 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs. McKenzie Woody stole two bases and scored three times and Ashley Schwab was 2-for-2 at the plate with 2 RBIs. Whitewater will take on Northgate at 7:30 p.m. tonight, while Starr's Mill will meet Fayette County at 5:30 p.m. login to post comments |
