Bobcats lose to Fellowship Christian, 37-33

The Our Lady of Mercy Bobcats came out strong in their game against Fellowship Christian last Friday, but they couldn’t hang on and lost 37-33.

The Bobcats led 14-0 after the first quarter and entered halftime tied with the Paladins at 21 points a piece. Fellowship Christian outscored Our Lady of Mercy 16-12 in the second half though to escape with the win. The Bobcats had more yards rushing (215-54) and more total yards (322-230) but not enough points to get the win.

Jarrell Bankhead once again led the Mercy offense with four touchdowns (two rushing and two receiving), while rushing for 100 yards. Quarterback William Pearl rushed for 66 yards. He also led the defense with nine total tackles in the game, while Shawn Edoimoiya chipped in eight total tackles and Amir Mustafa had seven total tackles.
