Bethany’s revival starts Saturday
Bethany United Methodist Church in north Fayette County will have revival services Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4 and 5, with services scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday. Guest revivalist will be the Rev. Walter Kimbrough with music by Joe Stanley. Bethany is on Rivers Road at the Lee’s Lake Road intersection. St. Gabriel’s seeking book donations
The Catholic Church of St. Gabriel will accept donations of gently used books and magazines the next two Saturdays, Oct. 4 and 11, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., to be sold during its upcoming Book Fair on Oct. 18. Donations will be accepted by the horseshoe pit located near the rear of the church parking lot at 152 Antioch Road in Fayetteville. Donations will be accepted in the church office the week of Oct 13-17. The Book Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the parish hall. St. Mary’s plans service for animals
St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church will welcome animals of all kinds to its yearly Blessing of the Animals Service Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. The event will be held in the front gathering area of the church at 3 Village Road, Newnan. The yearly service honors St. Francis of Assisi. The church is off Ga. Hwy. 154 and lower Fayetteville Road, behind the new Coweta library.

McDonough Rd. revival starts Sunday
Fulltime evangelist Keith Fordham of Fayetteville will be the preacher and Reggie and Ladye Love Smith of Nashville, Tenn., will be the concert artists at McDonough Road Baptist Church’s revival starting this Sunday and running through Wednesday, Oct. 8. Maj. Landon will preach at CTK on Oct. 5
Father Jonathan Landon of Senoia, a decorated U.S. Army major and chaplain, will preach and celebrate Holy Communion at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church Sunday, Oct.5, at 8 and 10 a.m. Landon has served as chaplain at many Army bases and served in Iraq from 2005 to 2006. Christ the King is on Ga. Hwy. 34 between Newnan and Peachtree City.
