Mr. and Mrs. Hope Taylor of LaGrange announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Hope Taylor, to Cody Adam Hicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Van Hicks of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the grandaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carris Erquitt of LaGrange, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor of LaGrange. She is a graduate of West Georgia Tech where she earned a degree in costomology. She currently is employed by HRS in Atlanta and Padriacs of Vinings.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hicks of Fayetteville and Peg McFarland and the late Bill McFarland of Senoia. He is a graduate of The University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor of business administration degree. He currently is employed by 790 The Zone, Sports Radio in Atlanta.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Dunaway Gardens in Newnan. Following a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Smyrna.
